Our next pop-up gallery will be November 2017 in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, subject to the availability of a suitable shopping unit. We are continually inviting artists to to submit an expression of interest without any commitment at this stage. We hope to hold galleries every six months so will endeavour to accommodate qualifying artists at the earliest opportunity.
Summary Conditions of Exhibiting
Artists should be from, or be able to demonstrate a connection with Redditch (setting up, doing duty stints and dismantling should not be a problem because of distance)
Have pictures framed or ready to hang, with secure and presentable wire or cord.
Provide a 250 word (approximately) biography of themselves in third person, and a portrait or action photograph.
Duty sessions in the gallery whilst it is open to the public is also a mandatory requirement. This will be in proportion to the number of artists exhibiting and is normally equivalent to one day’s duty in a 10 day period. Duty can be undertaken by friends or relatives on behalf of the artist but they must be over 18 trustworthy and reliable.
All exhibits must be for sale. Title, media and price must be submitted by a given deadline and prices cannot be changed during the course of the exhibition. Arts in Redditch will retain a 15% commission on sales. Only original artwork can be exhibited. Prints and cards as well as unframed pictures can be sold from our browsers subject to the same commission fee to cover our operating expenses.
Other conditions may be introduced for each gallery subject to agreement at an artists meeting.
