Kevin Wills was born in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire in 1977. He studied Art and Design at St. Augustine's High School in Redditch where he developed his initial love of painting. After serving in the British Army, Wills spent 2 years travelling Australia, spending a large proportion of his time living and working in Sydney. It was here that Wills began to pursue his passion further and he studied at Brick Lane Gallery in Bondi under the critically acclaimed artist Andrew Hemelnitsky. His work was formerly displayed at the Brick Lane Gallery and also in the Old Bondi Junction Gallery.
Working predominantly in acrylics, Wills specialises in pop-art paintings. His first pieces include many of the characters from the Marvel comics, and in more recent work, iconic figures such as the Beatles, Audrey Hepburn, Bob Dylan and Paul Weller. Wills also paints pop-art portraits of families and children and has sold several pieces in Astwood Galleries, Astwood Bank. He is fast becoming a very popular artist in his local community and beyond.
